J. Lee Marsh was born and raised in Tallahassee. He was appointed to the Circuit Bench in 2018 and elected in 2020. Prior to his service on Court, Judge Marsh served for 20 years in the United States Navy as a submarine officer and officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He practiced criminal, family, civil, ethics, and labor law while in the Navy before moving to the Florida Attorney General’s Office upon his Navy retirement.
Judge Marsh is currently assigned to the felony criminal division. He has also presided in the family and civil divisions. Judge Marsh is involved in voluntary bar associations, community civic organizations, and has taught at judicial education events.
Judge Marsh is committed to upholding the law and treating everyone with dignity and respect.

Under the campaign finance laws, the maximum contribution allowed is $1,000 per individual or corporation. Of course, any contribution is greatly appreciated.
