About Judge Marsh
Background:
- J. Lee Marsh was born and raised in Tallahassee.
- 3rd generation Leon public schools graduate (valedictorian).
- Attended Leon County public schools from elementary through high school.
Commitment to service:
- U.S. Naval Academy graduate
- Retired Navy submariner and Judge Advocate.
- Former Assistant Attorney General.
- Active in local church and civic organizations.
Experienced:
- Practiced criminal, family, civil, ethics, and labor law during 20-year Navy career.
- Navy specialist in the prosecution of sexual assault.
- Civil defense lawyer for the Florida Attorney General.
- Presided for 8 years as a family, civil, and felony court judge.
Family:
- Married 30 years to high school sweetheart (now a local preschool teacher).
- Two daughters, both Leon County Schools graduates and one a recent college graduate, working in Atlanta.
